Organic Carrots

Sourced From Farms In CA

Many dogs love to eat carrots, especially when they get to enjoy them as a crunchy treat. Because of their nutrient-dense properties, carrots make a great addition as a healthy snack to accompany your dog’s diet. When dogs snack on carrots they get a boost of vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K. They also get potassium, niacin, beta-carotene, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium. Carrots are also packed with lutein and lycopene, which are both essential phytonutrients that can help protect the eyes from UVB radiation and any other damage that can be caused by harmful free radicals.

Organic Granny Smith Apple

Sourced From Farms in USA

Apples are a healthy, low-calorie treat for dogs that contain antioxidants, dietary fiber, vitamin A, and vitamin C. They also freshen up doggy breath and help with dental hygiene!

Green apples are a tasty snack for dogs and a good source of nutrients. One of the most important is vitamin C or ascorbic acid, an antioxidant that helps to defend a body’s cells from harmful free radicals. A single medium-sized apple contains roughly 8.4 mg, the equivalent of 10% of the daily recommended value for human beings. Other antioxidants, including quercetin, catechin and chlorogenic acid, also have anti-inflammatory effects and support the brain and muscles.

Fiber, a nutrient that lowers blood sugar levels, boosts the digestive system and feeds the good bacteria that lives in a dog’s gut, is present in relatively large quantities in green apples. Energy-boosting carbohydrates and potassium, the primary mineral found in green apples, rounds out the fruit’s health benefits by helping to support and maintain a healthy heart.

Organic Beet

Love Beets Inc.

They are known for their longstanding history with beets. Many of the beets are grown in Upstate New York. At Love Beets, they produce Red Beets that are certified Organic and not genetically modified.

Beets provide with Vitamin C, fiber, manganese, folate, and potassium. These micronutrients can work wonders for your dog’s immune system and digestion, and they also give your dog a healthy coat and skin. It’s common for veterinarians to suggest adding beets to the diet of a dog who is struggling with fur loss, stomach issues, or unhealthy skin.

Organic Peanut Butter:

Once Again Nut Butter Inc.
They start by roasting and grinding blanched, dry roasted peanuts until they are wonderfully creamy. This product has just one ingredient, peanuts. No added oil, salt, sugar!

So many benefits for dogs:

*Lots of Protein: Dogs need a lot of protein in their diet, and peanut butter is a fantastic source. The protein content in peanut butter is typically around 25%, which is significant for a plant-based food. Protein benefits your dog by supplying amino acids that boost the immune system, help build hormones, enzymes, and antibodies.
*Abundant Fiber: Peanut butter is abundant in fiber, which makes it very advantageous for dogs when used in moderation. Like humans, your dog's digestive system also needs fiber to function properly. Fiber adds bulk to the diet, encouraging normal bowel movements and lowering your dog’s risk of diarrhea and constipation.
*Healthy Fatty Acids: It's no secret that peanut butter contains a lot of fat. What's fortunate is that most of this is good fat like Omega-6, which helps with growth, immunity, and healthy skin, amongst other things.
*Vitamins: Vitamin E is a crucial nutrient for both humans and dogs, and peanut butter is a surprisingly rich source. Dogs need vitamin E to maintain healthy muscles, eyes, and skin. The vitamin also controls fat metabolism and supports healthy cells, with studies even suggesting that it may aid in the prevention of arthritis.
*Important Minerals: Peanut butter contains manganese, which is necessary to produce energy and metabolize proteins and carbohydrates. The nutty treat is also abundant in phosphorus, which interacts with calcium to strengthen bones and teeth.

Organic Coconut Oil, Expeller Pressed, Extra Virgin

Sourced In the Philippines
We buy our bulk coconut oil from sustainable producers in the Philippines and each batch is tested and held to the highest E.U. standards of Certified Organic purity. No chemicals are used in the extraction or refining of the oil.

For unrefined, Extra Virgin coconut oil, fresh coconuts are split open and the meat separated from the shell.  The meat is steam blanched (around 200 F).  The blanched meat is shredded and oven dried (160 – 200 F) to make desiccated coconut. The desiccated coconut is then mechanically pressed (in an expeller J) without the use of solvents to extract the oil. The oil goes through multiple filtering steps to remove any impurities.

Some vets believe that the MCTs in coconut oil aid in digestion and can help heal digestive disorders, as well as improve brain energy and mental function in older dogs.

Organic Oat Flour, Certified Gluten Free

Sourced From USA & Canada

This organic whole oat flour is made by grinding and sifting whole oat groats in a natural stone mill. The proportions of the natural constituents of the oat groat remain unaltered.

Oat flour we use contains fiber, biotin, vitamin b1, and magnesium. These vitamins and minerals are a great boost to dog food and your dog's diet. Fiber helps your dog maintain a healthy digestive system. It keeps your dog regular, regulates blood sugar, and controls blood pressure.

Organic Chickpea Flour, Certified Gluten Free

Sourced From USA & Canada

This organic flour goes through the Unifine Process. The bean enters a high speed rotor and is instantly shattered into fine flour. Air goes through the rotor with the beans and blows the flour out, thus keeping it cool throughout the process, retaining many nutrients. With the Unifine Process the natural oils in the beans are kept intact and do not get hot like in regular grain milling and stoneground milling. Garbanzo Beans are naturally gluten free and this product is packaged in a facility that is gluten tested with a consistent result of less than 20 ppm to meet the standard of gluten-free.

Chickpea flour is a great source of protein for dogs. Protein is essential for building and repairing muscle tissue, as well as maintaining a healthy immune system. It's one of the most nutrient-dense gluten free flours and is high in plant-based protein (contains double the amount of protein as whole wheat flour), while low in carbohydrates. Chickpea flour is also a good source of fibre, which can aid in digestion and keep your dog feeling full for longer. Additionally, it is rich in essential minerals such as magnesium, zinc, and manganese, which can help support overall health and well-being.

Organic Turmeric

American Turmeric Company

They believe in doing things right. At the American Turmeric Company, they have learned that turmeric grows best in rich soil that is enhanced by nature, not by chemicals. For this reason, they test everything and make those results available to you. They regularly test the turmeric plants and products for three things. They are: heavy metals, curcumin content and pathogens, specifically E. Coli. Harvested year-round and processed in small batches to ensure purity. Their patent-pending fermentation unlocks the potency of the product for the highest levels of curcumin possible. Grown and harvested in USA.

Turmeric or Curcuma longa is a perennial plant and is in the same family as ginger. Turmeric grows rhizomes underground which are harvested and used in a variety of ways. It is commonly used as a cooking spice in Indian cuisine. While it has been utilized for 4,000 years medicinally, it has only been in the past 25 years that the tremendous health benefits of turmeric have been scientifically validated through hundreds of medical research studies.

Properties of turmeric may help reduce swelling and pain and improve mobility, especially in older pups. Because of curcumin's potent antioxidant properties, it may help boost your pup’s overall health and improve your dog’s ability to fight off diseases. One small study compared several health indicators of dogs given curcumin-enriched dog food versus a control group of dogs given the same food without curcumin. After 42 days on this diet, the dogs given curcumin showed stimulated antioxidant systems and greater numbers of red and white blood cells.

Organic Ground Black pepper

Curcumin (turmeric) is not easily absorbed without the aid of other ingredients. Pepper contains piperine, a substance that enhances the herb’s absorption.  A small amount of black pepper is considered safe for dogs.

Organic Cranberry Fruit Powder:

North West Wild Foods Inc.

Organic cranberry fruit powder is made with cranberries that have been grown organically and sustainably, without the use of any pesticides, sprays or chemicals. This is important because some of the most toxic streams and rivers in North America come from non-organic cranberry farming practices. Typically these chemical residues used in the non-organic cranberry farming will actually be concentrated in the drying/powder process therefor significantly increasing their presence in the powder at toxic levels. Some cranberry powders are also processed via a 'spray freeze' method which involves heating the the berries to very high temperatures. This kills all the active properties in the berries, rendering them near, if not completely useless in terms of nutritional value.

The flash frozen fruit is then dried with a low impact method of dehydration in small batches that maintains low temperatures and maximum nutritional values of the fruit. This powder maintains a higher level of antioxidants, polyphenols, flavor, color and a better taste than other powders. No maltodextrin, no added sugar! Sourced from Oregon.

Cranberries are antioxidant-rich fruits that can help boost your dog’s immune health and decrease inflammation. They’re high in vitamin C, fiber, and potassium, along with being low in calories, so they make a wholesome little snack for dogs and people alike. Cranberries can also help combat a canine urinary tract infection, as they can in humans. What’s more, cranberries are good for your dog’s teeth, cardiovascular system, and eyesight.

Organic Ceylon Cinnamon

Sourced From Sri Lanka

Ceylon cinnamon, also known as the “true” cinnamon, is harder to find and more expensive. It comes from Sri Lanka, it's light brown, and tastes sweeter than cassia cinnamon. Because it has less coumarin, ceylon is considered safer for dogs to eat.

Cinnamon contains a compound called cinnamaldehyde that is responsible for many wonderful health benefits such as:

*Antioxidants: Cinnamon is rich in antioxidants. Which protect against cell damage from environmental factors. It also slows down cognitive aging, supports brain function, and improves focus and memory. This can be helpful for aging dogs who suffer from dementia.

*Anti-fungal properties: Dogs with allergies or yeast infections may benefit from eating cinnamon in small quantities. It prevents the growth of bacteria like salmonella and listeria, or yeast like candida albicans.

*Anti-inflammatory properties: Cinnamon can reduce swelling and inflammation in dogs with arthritis, sore muscles, and joint pain.

*Heart health: A study reported that controlled doses of cinnamon helped dogs with heart issues by lowering their heart rate and systolic blood pressure.

*Blood sugar regulation: Several studies have proved that cinnamon, when given in small doses, can lower blood glucose levels and insulin resistance.

Organic Hemp Hearts

These super seeds contain over 30% fat and have the perfect ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids (a good balance is crucial so the acids can effectively work interdependently within the body). Additionally, dogs can eat hemp seeds for the high sources of omega-6 fatty acid known as gamma linolenic acid. These have a ton of benefits for dogs, like cancer prevention and reduced joint pain.

Just like humans, dogs are at risk for developing heart disease. Because of this, it’s imperative that proper steps are taken to help you pet maintain optimal health. Incorporating hemp into your dog’s diet can have a huge influence on heart health—for a multitude of reasons.

Hemp is packed with high amounts of arginine, the amino acid responsible for producing nitric oxide in the body, which helps dilate and relax blood vessels. A healthy amount of nitric oxide can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of contracting heart disease. Studies show that increased arginine intake is linked with decreased levels of C-reactive protein, an inflammatory marker linked to heart disease. According to doctors, Animal studies have shown that hemp seeds or hemp seed oil may reduce blood pressure, decrease the risk of blood clot formation and help the heart recover after a heart attack.

In addition, ingesting hemp is shown to strengthen the immune system, support healthy organ function, and have positive effects on brain function and even fertility.
